Great specs on paper, but unreliable in practice If you want to waste your money buy this laptop – Nothing but problems after problems.I sent my laptop back to Lenovo due to the plastic around the screen bowing just before the warranty ran out and when I got it back it was barley usable so I sent it to a laptop shop. I was told that the hardrive installed was not compatible with the core processer and the total repairs have to£600 just because the manufactures didn’t put the correct specs in to the product. – its one year…

For the price, the specs are impressive to begin with. I’m sure a fully working unit will make for a fairly decent, relatively lightweight gaming laptop. But having owned the Y50 for a few months, there are a number of issues which really hinder the day-to-day use of the machine.Firstly, the hard drive fitted in the laptop. The performance is dreadful, it doesn’t perform at all like a SSHD should. Constant slow downs and a very long boot time. Replacing it with an SSD does resolve…
